We understand that families and individuals are experiencing crisis, when homecare is sought.  We work hard to provide care that is delivered with sensitivity and concern for the individual.
We keep our rates affordable to ease the stress of individuals and their families.  Our low rates do not compromise the quality of our services.  We strive to provide the highest quality of care.  Our employees are carefully screened and trained.  They offer many years and layers of experience.  Our caregivers are a team of diverse, seasoned, capable and compassionate professionals.
Our mission is conveyed to our caregivers through regular in-service trainings.  We determine the success of our mission through a tool called the CaReport©.  The CaReport is a customer satisfaction survey, which provides us with valuable feedback that is used to strengthen our skills and performance.
Unicare Human Services & Homecare, began serving Waltham and the North Shore in 1995.  Employees were recruited to serve as relief to Massachusetts non-profit agencies.  The core service was to provide personal and instructional care to individuals involved in day programs and residing in group homes.
Over the years, the services expanded to include home care, Certified Nursing Assistants and 1:1 care for individuals requiring supervision at home or within a medical facility.  We provide American Red Cross CPR &  First Aid classes, as well.
The management team offers over 20 years of business, educational and direct-care experience.  We strive to deliver care at competitive prices without sacrificing quality or the client's dignity.

Quality Assurance 

Our staff recruitment has been through referrals, college campuses and advertising.  Employees are screened for previous care giving experience.  We conduct background checks, as well as driving record and reference checks.  To assist us in monitoring our staff, we rely on documentation and regular communication with clients and family members.  
Our documentation tools include attendance and time-sheets.  Time-sheets are to be signed by the client or an authorized representative.
We provide each client with a CaReport©.  The CaReport is a client satisfaction survey form.  The information received from clients and families is reviewed; the client's feedback is shared with staff.  CaReports assist us in evaluating the agency, supervising the staff and monitoring their performance.
Unicare Human Services & Homecare carries Professional Liability and Workers Compensation Insurance.  Clients are assured that their Caregiver is protected  while working in their home.  Unicare Staff members are not contracted.  They are employees of Unicare.  Payroll deductions and witholdings are the responsibility of Unicare Human Services & Homecare.
